My son is on his third book now with the Sony Reader, so I am a happy parent to see him reading so much. I agree the open approach to content is a good one, as I mentioned, and I will check out the other Sony Reader products next time I see them in the store. I think it is great that there is so much activity in the eReader space right now as the rising tide lifts all ships and overall it is great to be encouraging and facilitating more reading, and creating more distribution outlets for writers and publishers. Good stuff all around.

Re: The Sony Reader: Black and White and Shades of Dorian Gray

Amazon is seling the Sony Digital Reader TOUCH Edition for $290 and the POCKET Edition for $193.

Re: The Sony Reader: Black and White and Shades of Dorian Gray

Ha! Jeff, you get a gold star for the most creative execution on the Reader Sony Dads project! Thank you for the fabulous video with your son. You guys really made the most of the experience. I'm especially impressed with the special effects in the "Black White and Shade of Dorian Gray" video. Well done.

I also wanted to highlight a point you made about the Reader's open source approach to content, it gives readers the most choice and freedom when it comes to what they get to read on their device. All ebooks are not the same when it comes to this approach and the Reader team at Sony is pretty proud of taking this lead.

If you do get a chance to try any of the other Readers, the Daily Touch Edition or the PRS 700, please make sure to compare and share your experience.

Sukhjit Ghag
Sony Electronics

Re: The Sony Reader: Black and White and Shades of Dorian Gray

Getting your kids to "play along" is part of parenting - unless you are balloon dad Richard Heene! ;-) My guys always seem willing to go for the gag, and the "Dorian Gray" video was great fun to do with Ethan, and was a good way to turn reading an eBook into a bigger, more entertaining weekend project. Hope you enjoyed it.

Re: The Sony Reader: Black and White and Shades of Dorian Gray

That is awesome that you got your son to play along and go beyond just a normal review. Hope Dylan is willing to do that when he is that old for me.

C.C.
