Dad-O-matic: What Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Brogan Have in Common

Unfortunately the amount of sugar in this cereal (12g) makes it a not so healthy choice.

I agree on your superhero choice, Superman has super powers, Batman is cool, he has used his intellect, training (and gobs of money) to fight evil. Way cooler backstory. Man I am a geek...

    Who knew?!

Nifty site. Looking forward to sharing it with the dads in my life.

Oh, I didn't say it was healthy and great for kids. Oh nooooo. In fact, you'll note that I threatened my daughter with uncontrollable bowels if she touched my bowl of cereal.

This is for dads. : )

    > whatever you call the strawberry guy

    You call him Frankenberry.

Batman?! Ya, he has issues. I'm pretty sure he takes Prozac. By the way the "CK" in my moniker stands for Clark Kent... Clark Kent's Lunchbox - no foolin'

I'm not a fan of cereal... a good wholesome breakfast is a cup of decent coffee. Lets face it, Batman is just cooler. Superman has all those superpowers, how does he ever really run into trouble? Batman on the other hand has to remain sharp and focused at all times.

    Chris,

Don't overlook the Cinnamon Streusel Frosted Mini Wheats. While I don't think about streusel as the name implies it still is a strong offering that steps outside of the subversive attack on the General Mills empire that is monster themed sugar delivery systems.

I am not a super hero guy. Does that make me less of a Dad? If forced to choose however I would go for a super hero that didn't need to wear tights. Is there one of those?

Oh and the Strawberry dude is Franken berry. Hard to beat the strawberry milk left after a bowl of those things.
  • Robert · 1 year ago
@ Frank: now honestly, how can you be a superhero without wearing tights and your underwear on the outside?! It's standard superhero gear. ;)

My kids love Frosted Mini-Wheats. We stick with the plain sugary ones. Often these artificial flavors taste so, well, artificial. Will strongly consider giving this one a try. We're more willing to allow a lot of sugar per spoonful when it's accompanied by some much needed (in the case of one child I know) fiber.

Maybe Batman is a coffee drinker to stay sharp and focused.

@Robert Wow ..... You are exactly right. I skipped right by the 'essence' of super hero-ness (just made that word up). In that case I am going with my son's fave Capt. Underpants. Apparently he doesn't adhere to the tights policy and goes right to the tigjhty whiteys. That takes guts.

As a kid, I was all about Superman. I always look for Superman in EVERY Seinfeld episode. The only thing more fun may have been watching for the band-aid on Les Nesman in WKRP.

I was always a Count Chocula guy back in the day.

Best part of the Halloween season? All of the flavorful Monster cereals make a return to store shelves! I'm a Boo-Berry man, myself.
